Membership Disclaimer
1. Annual Team Registration - Houston Hydra's annual registration takes place in August of each year. If you are to register later in the year, the Annual Team fee may be prorated depending on the time of the year you join the team.
1. Current USA Swimming membership: It is the responsibility of each athlete to maintain a current membership in good standing. Athletes will not be allowed to participate at practice or allowed to swim at meets without a current membership.
2. Current USA Water Polo membership. It is the responsibility of each athlete to maintain a current membership in good standing with USAWP. We prefer each athlete to have a Gold membership. Athletes will not be allowed to participate at practice prior to obtaining a membership.
2. Monthly Billing – Houston Hydra group fees are set based on a projected 4-week cycle. There are months that include more than 4 weeks of swim time in which case this works in the Member’s favor. There are also months that include CFISD closures (testing, holidays, maintenance, etc.) that work in the Team’s favor. In the end the days end up offsetting. The standard group fee is charged in either case.
1. Monthly dues are billed on the (1st) first of each month. Teamunify will automatically draft from the credit card on file for monthly dues and any outstanding balances at that time. All other miscellaneous fees such as meet fees, tournament fees, gear, etc. are billed the Tuesday following the event.
2. A Late Fee of $25 will be added to your account on the 7th of the month if payment fails. If payment is not updated, then another late fee of $25 will be added on by the 14th of the month. After this time period, your swimmer will not be able to participate.
3. Practice Schedule – Since Houston Hydra utilizes CFISD pools there may be times when the practice pool location may have to change. The practice schedule will be posted on Mondays. It is the Swim family’s responsibility to check the Houston Hydra team site to confirm pool locations for the week. If there are any other unexpected changes to the practice schedule or location, it will be updated via the SportsYou app.
4. Withdrawal / Reactivation - Withdrawals from Houston Hydra can be made at any time during the year using the withdrawal form. We do require that you give notice by the 15th of the month before the next billing cycle on the 1st of the month. Our season runs from August 2025 - July 31, 2026. Withdrawals requested in this timeframe will be effective on the first day of the following month. (For example: If you give notice before February 15th, your account will be suspended on March 1st, and no fees will be deducted).
There is a $20 Reactivation fee!
